He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Gunderson and Adeline Gunderson (Papousek); and his father-in-law Richard Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Judy Gunderson; his children, Eric Gunderson (Kelly Westphal), Brian Gunderson (Kari Adams), Ryan O'Leary (Becky) and Robyn O'Leary; his grandchildren, Cole Gunderson, Maverick O'Leary and Aurora O'Leary; his siblings, Richard Gunderson (Darlene), Peggy Levan (Steve) and Kathy Bliss (Steve); his mother-in-law Nadine Johnson; and his siblings-in-law, Jannette LeSage (Gene), Dave Johnson (Lynette) and Daniel Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to recipient of donor's choice.
