He was predeceased by: his parents, Lloyd Avery and LaVonne Avery (Pederson); his parents-in-law, Fred and Dorothy Phelps; and his siblings, Jean Schoolfield and Mark Avery.
He is survived by: his wife Connie (Phelps); his child Lee Avery (Chris); his grandchildren, Alec (Jessica) and Kasey (Renae); his son Kevin Avery (Sherrie); his grandchildren, London (Grant), Garret (Elisabeth), Hannah (Adam) and Jacob; his child JoDee Avery; his grandchildren, Curi (Jen), Kaled and Mattie; his daughter ReNae Meaney (Bob); his grandchildren, Taylor and Morgan; his great grandchildren, Kayden, Emma, Luna, Owen, Kyla, Carter, Leif and Grayson; his siblings, Paul Avery (Julie), Jim Avery (Linda), Karen Lehmberg (Larry), Kathy Courson (Ray) and Joan Sherry (Steve); and his sisters-in-law, Vicky Avery and Karen Phelps. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Crossroads Evangelical Free Church (3402 Hoeger Ln, Albert Lea, MN 56007-0000). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
