He was predeceased by: his parents, Ronald Lees and Hannah Lees (Johnson); his sons, Jeffrey Lees and Eric Lees; his brother Gary Lees; and his son-in-law Randy Kleinpeter.
He is survived by: his wife Janet Lees; his children, Robin Kleinpeter and Jay Lees (Michelle); his grandchildren, Cole Denisen, Hudson Kleinpeter, Taylor Lees, Ashley Lees, Avery Lees and Grace Lees; and his great grandchildren, Josephine Denisen and Kaiden Sandidge.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the funeral home is limited to 57 people for the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Hormel Nature Center or St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin.
