He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Mlenar and Bernetta "Babe" Mlenar (Ossawskie); and his brothers, Gene, Norman, Tom, Jerry and Jim.

He is survived by: his children, Lorri Hultgren, Brian Mlenar and Jerremy Mlenar; his grandchildren, Jessica, Jasmin, Julia, Anna, Jacob, Breanna, Dylan, Liberty and Justice; and his brother Mike Mlenar (Sandy). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
