He is survived by: his husband Stephen Neiswanger of Austin; his sisters, Janet Haber (Phil) of Reston, Virginia and Ann Paparella (Mark) of Hugo, Minnesota; his nieces and nephews, Zach, Ben, Garrick, Lance, Laura and Susan; his siblings-in-law, Kurt Neiswanger of Palm Springs and Jane Lundquist (Neiswanger) of Austin, Texas; and his friend Barbara Meany of Austin.
