He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Goembel and Frances Goembel (Spieker); and his sisters-in-law, Janet Warfield and Joann Oots. He is survived by: his wife Karen Goembel of Austin, MN; his children, Todd Goembel (Diana) of Burnsville, MN and Julie Beckel (Tony) of Woodbury, MN; his grandchildren, Allison Beckel, Megan Goembel, Tanner Goembel and Kristin Beckel; and his brothers-in-law, Duane Warfield (Judy) of Rochester, MN and Henry Oots of Rochester, MN. He is also survived by friends and relatives.
Due to COVID-19 the seating is limited to 80 people total at the service.
In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Olaf Lutheran Church.
