It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alvina Johanna Letendre of Austin, Minnesota, who passed away on April 11, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Derks and Katherine "Cornelia" Derks (DeLeest); her husband Vernon Letendre; and her siblings, Herman, Elmer, Clarence, Lambert, Margaret Turner, Geraldine Gunovich and Dorothy Bruce.
She is survived by: her sons, Vernon (Carol), Ronald of Burnsville, MN, Gary (Debbie) of Austin, MN, Gregory (Debbie) of Cottage Grove, MN and Thomas (Lisa Robson) of Austin, MN; her grandchildren, Lance, Shawn (Crystal), Dana Hanson (Andy), Shelley Thompson of Austin, MN, Amy Janssen (Scot) of Austin, MN, Carrie El-Halawani (Sam) of Burnsville, MN, Jeremy of Cottage Grove, MN, Nick (Jessica) of Rush City, MN, Tanya (Kai) of Cottage Grove, MN and Jason Kreuscher (Joanne) of Pingree Grove, IL; and her sister-in-law Marlene Gangl of Minneapolis, MN.. She is also survived by 26 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Augustine Catholic Church.
