She was predeceased by: her parents, Meta Thor (Konakowitz) and Fred Thor; her husband Jacob; her grandson Daniel Anderson; and her siblings, Winifred Martin, Frank and Robert Placek.
She is survived by: her stepfather Frank Placek; her children, Gary Westra (Suzanne) of Owatonna, MN, Dr. Bradley Westra (Barbara) and Cheryl Anderson (Kerry) of Whitehouse, TX; her grandchildren, Jim Westra (Kim), Jason Westra, Alyssa Simons (Dan), Brent Westra (Salena), Aaron Anderson (Mariela) and Elizabeth Burgess (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Paige, Carson Westra, Kaitlyn, Megan Simons, Zachery, Noella, Damian Westra, Danielle, Hannah, Sophie Anderson and Sarah Burgess; her sisters, Gloria Michels and Delores Skalisky; and her nieces, Melody and Marlene.
