He was predeceased by: his mother Marilyn Blekestad (Nelson); and his stepfathers, Donald, Ronald (Nancy), Jenni and Sandie.
He is survived by: his father Orville Blekestad (Adeline); his wife Barbara Blekestad of Aurora; his children, Rick Blekestad (Amy) and Laura Blekestad Mears (Dustin); his stepchildren, Brianne Olson (Eli), Tina Krosch (Brian), Tina Jennings (Aaron) and Bob Drobnick; his brothers, Mark Blekestad and Tim Sperstad; and his stepsiblings, Cindy (Brad), Arden (Lisa), Ron (Sharon) and Orville, Jr.. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM at the Sturm Funeral Home, Madelia Chapel (303 E Main St, Madelia, MN 56062). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Lake Crystal Cemetery.
