He was predeceased by: his parents, Julius Omberg and Ella Omberg (Ness); his wife Eloise Omberg; and his son Steven Omberg. He is survived by: his sons, Stuart Omberg (Kathy) of Detroit Lakes and Lee Omberg (Karen) of Perham; his grandchildren, Nick Omberg (Stacey), Kris Swenson (Dustin Wirth), Benjamin Omberg (Madison) and Karlee Werner (Jake); his great grandchildren, Mason, Mya Omberg, Presley Swenson, Easton Gravelle, Kinsey, Haden, Jade, Jenna Wirth, Alex, Michael and Ella Werner; and his sister Elyda Handegard.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes.
