He is survived by: his children, Jim, Vicki (Jim) and Kathy (Mike); his daughter-in-law Diane; his grandchildren, Nicole (Kraig), Jeremiah, Eric, Daniel (Amelia) and Brian (Theodora); his great grandchildren, William, Christina, Athena, Nicholas, Jessica, Aurora, Artemis and Beatrix; his sister Linda (Mike); and his siblings-in-law, Dave (Karen) and Betty. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and countless friends.

“It is with sadness that Mary and I read this morning about the passing of Don. As a young couple in Atwater, we both enjoyed Arlene and Don. Arlene was a great friend and terrific role model for Mary as she began her teaching career. Don was an enjoyable friend with a great sense of humor and a mischievous eye.. There was always laughter when he was around. We are thinking of you at this time.of sorrow. Your parents were great. We were fortunate to know them. Roger and Mary Benson”
