He was predeceased by: his parents, Emma Swanson (Walta) and George C. Swanson; his daughter Corinne Harmon; his siblings, Edward Swanson (Carol) and Edna Bernier; and his brother-in-law Phillip Nelson.
He is survived by: his mother-in-law Mary Lou Nelson of Duluth; his son George Charles (Marie); his wife Mary Lou; his grandchildren, Ben, Elizabeth and Lauren Swanson; and his siblings-in-law, Naomi Janssen (Morris), Betty Nelson and Paul Nelson (LeAnn). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
