We are sad to announce that on December 20, 2020, at the age of 75, Robert Spangler of Ashby, Minnesota, born in Freeport, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Spangler and Berniece Spangler (Bamberg); and his sister Debra Albertson. He is survived by: his wife Marlys Nelson; his children, Wendy Walvatne (Dwight), Shawn Spangler (Kristin) and Kirby Spangler (Linda); his grandchildren, Jennifer Gonzales (Jules), Brandon Walvatne (Angela), Brianna Spangler, Maizy Spangler, Carson Spangler and Carter Spangler; his great grandchildren, Tyler Gonzales, Kaity Gonzales, Max Gonzales, Troy Walvatne and Sonya Walvatne; and his siblings, Pat Johansen (Larry), Kay Olson (Charles), Sherry Spangler, Linda Nordwall (Randy), Ron Spangler (Teri) and Tina Olson (Curt). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews cousins and friends.
