He was predeceased by: his parents, Charlotte Sandman and Alvin "Bud" Sandman; his sister-in-law Marilyn Sandman; his nephew Steven Sandman; and his brother-in-law Eugene Boettger.
He is survived by: his siblings, Thomas, Carol Sandman of Timnath, CO, Douglas Sandman of Rapid City, SD, Janice Boettger of Arden Hills, MN and Kristine Borchardt of Arden Hills, MN.. He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, as well as six great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Peace Lutheran Church (219 E St Anne St, Rapid City, SD 57701). A memorial service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. The inurnment was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Pine Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the South Dakota Parkinson's Foundation (https://www.southdakotaparkinson.org) in Michael's memory, to honor his life and continue the fight against Parkinson's Disease.
