He is survived by: his wife Carol; his children, Becky, Paul (Elizabeth) and Beth; his grandchildren, Peter, Annie, Carlie and Kat; his brother Arlen (Ellen); and his parents-in-law, Judy, Bert LeMunyon and Betty Syvertsen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

“Carol: I was so sorry to hearing of the passing of your husband. I have fond memories of Lowell. I remember the time the Roseville librarians were attending a conference in Mankato. We knocked on the door to pick you up and were greeted by your husband, clad in his bathrobe. I said I had never met a bishop in a bathrobe before. He told me I should be happy he was wearing one. I have made a donation to the peace organization mentioned in the obituary. God bless you and your family .”
