He was predeceased by: his former wife Jan; his granddaughter Abby McKinnon; his parents, Lorenz and Adelia; his sisters, Rosanne Mattson and Dodie Nelson; and his brother-in-law Greg Linnerooth.
He is survived by: his wife Gretchen "Gooch" Krastins; his children, Jim McKinnon, Beth Meissner (Ron), Alison McKinnon (Ron Sotak) and Dan McKinnon (Traci); and his stepchildren, Heather Lambert (Grant) and Chad Krastins (Courteney). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
