He is survived by: his children, Debra Schmit (Greg), Don Potter (Janyce Erickson) and Diane Kiszonas (Tony); his grandchildren, Natalie Connelly (Brendan), Stephanie Bottiger (Kevin), Elizabeth Schmit (Ryan Lorraine), Jessica VanBockel (Ryan), Shane Potter and Alecia Kiszonas; his great grandchildren, James, Ryan, Nora Joy Connelly, Lucy and Brooks VanBockel; and his sister Marjorie James (Walter).
