It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cheryl Renay Strand of Appleton, Minnesota, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Cheryl Renay has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Johnson and Myrtle Johnson (Olson); and her sister Marlene Boraas. She is survived by: her daughters, Jana Zeiher (Cory) of Cold Spring, MN and Lisa Thielke (Mike) of New London, MN; her grandchildren, Sam Zeiher, Dane Zeiher and Jack Thielke; her siblings, Arlys Winkelman (Daryl) of New London, MN and Scott Johnson (Lisa) of Chandler, AZ; and her brother-in-law Roger Boraas of Appleton, MN. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church-Appleton (23 E Rooney Ave, Appleton, MN 56208). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Appleton City Cemetery (120 W Schlieman Ave, Appleton, MN 56208).
