Violet N. Pfeifer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Violet N. Pfeifer of Apple Valley, Minnesota, who passed away on March 2, 2025, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Violet N. Pfeifer to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Barbara Schimke (Losing) and Solomon Schimke; her husband Melvin Pfeifer; her grandson Baby Boy Grieme; her brother Irving Schimke; her sister-in-law Annette Schimke; and her great grandchild Asher Pfeifer.
She is survived by: her children, Arlene "Arlie" Pfeifer of Austin, TX, Wayne Pfeifer (Linda) of Armour, SD, Susan Grieme (Allan) of Apple Valley, MN and Greig Pfeifer of Mitchell, SD; her grandson Jared Ensign; her children, Ryan Pfeifer (Jamie), Christopher Pfeifer (Tawnya), Austin Pfeifer (Gina), Justin Pfeifer (Jenny), Molly Lego (Tyler), Bryan Grieme (Cora), Macie Illsley (Jordan), Robert Hessaa (Crystal) and Niclas Pfeifer; her stepgrandchildren, John Broecher, William "Billy" Broecher and Jill Przybilla (Travis); her great grandchildren, Jordan and Jason Pfeifer; her stepgrandchildren, Riley, Raegan Pfeifer, Tyler, Cody, Joshua Pfeifer, Aidan, Adelyn, Archer Pfeifer, Cash, Conrad, Cecelia Lego, Ruby, Luella Grieme, Eleanor Illsley, Jeffery, Brooklyn, Aurora and Logan Hessaa; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Jaydon Wolter (Jolee), Aubrie, Aaron Hunter, Haidyn, Sierra, Kailey Broecher, Sloane and Juliet Przybilla; and her brother Aldon Schimke of Wessington Springs, SD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and many friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Amber Club Room, Seasons at Apple Valley (15359 Founders Lane, Apple Valley, MN 55124). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church-Highmore (425 Commercial Ave SE, Highmore, SD 57345). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:15 AM at the Highmore Cemetery.
Memorials can be directed to the Hyde County Senior Center, United Methodist Church of Highmore, and the River City Transit in Highmore.
