It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald Ronald Braaten of Apple Valley, Minnesota, born in Bertha, Minnesota, who passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Braaten and Margaret Braaten; his wife Irene; his siblings, Darwin, Gene Braaten (Linda) and Marilyn Creamer (Warren); and his siblings-in-law, James Matlock and Mary Braaten.
He is survived by: his children, Curt (Michelle) and Cheryl Klotz (Bill); his grandchildren, Benjamin, Daniel, Emily and Gabrielle "Abby"; and his siblings, Delores Matlock, Rose Bagley (Vince), Joann Johnson (Duane), Dale (June), Betty Barber (Bill), Robert, Judy, James (Debra), Sharon Hoosline (Darrel) and Rick Braaten (Laureen). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
