She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Julius Heyd and Eva Heyd (Fischer); her former husband Walter Fischer; her husband Bennie Rath; her children, Wanda Murphy (Joe), Charlotte Bergstrom (Terry) and Paul Fischer (Brenda); her grandchildren, Ryan (Nicki), Derek Murphy (Sadie), Thom (Heather), Bob Bergstrom (Kim), Megan Klein (Travis), Michelle Rowley (Kris), Sara Erickson (Kevin) and Sam Fischer; her great grandchildren, Brendan, Caelin, Declan Murphy, Mila Murphy, Madisen Bergstrom, Thomas, Conner Klein and Sadie Erickson; her sister Arlene Wolff (Quinton); her brother-in-law Charles Fischer; and her daughter Mary Hoffman.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to either: 1) Christus Victor Lutheran Church, where Erna worshipped for the past 11 years or 2) Salem Emmanuel Cemetery Fund in Long Lake as it was very important to Erna that the cemetery be maintained.
