He was predeceased by: his parents, Henning Johnson and Lulu Johnson (Gulland); his wife Bonnie; and his siblings, Alfred, Lester, Gordon, Henry, Edwin, Leo, Clifford, Charles, Hilda, Joyce, Lilyann and Julia.
He is survived by: his sons, Van Johnson (Katie), Rick Johnson (Maria Theresa) and Craig Johnson (Elizabeth); his sisters, Alma Klug and Mary Lou Jensen; and his grandchildren, Hendrix Johnson, Coletrane Johnson (Riley) and Alexus Johnson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
