It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Schmelzer of Anoka, Minnesota, who passed away on September 23, 2021, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Schmelzer; his children, Richard R Schmelzer, Jr., James Schmelzer and Linda Fritz; his sons-in-law, John Pederson, Donald Bellows and Robert Gadola; his children, Sharon Pederson, Carole Schmelzer, Janice Bellows, William Schmelzer and Christine Awker (Chuck); his son-in-law Gary Fritz; his siblings, Dolores Marotte and Delmar Schmelzer; and his brother-in-law George Duvall. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren.
