She was predeceased by: her parents, Herb Lee and Laura Lee. She is survived by: her husband William "Bill"; her children, Danette Campbell, Scott Campbell (Debra) and Patti Gronski (Brian); and her grandchildren, Andrew Campbell (Sarah), Kathryn Campbell, Emily Wiger (Christopher), Stella and Claire Gronski. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Marlys will be buried at Forest Hill Cemetery in Anoka in the spring. in lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
