She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Carlson; and her son Jeffrey. She is survived by: her children, Jay, James, Jack (Anne) and Julie Carlson; and her grandchildren, Bryan (Michelle), Brandon (Brenda), Justin (Amy Pettey), Sloan (Sarah), Rachelle Carlson-Oien (Tom), Alyssa Holmbo (Adam), Kurtis (Natalie), Kimberly and Jennifer Gates (Kyle). She is also survived by her 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.
