He was predeceased by: his wife Joan Emig Braun; his parents, Arthur Braun and Elizabeth Braun; and his siblings, Irvin, Cletus, Herbert, Dean Braun, Marci Veldre, Marian Ertl and Jeannette Mayers.
He is survived by: his children, Carol Shukle (Ed), Barbara Schilling (Maris), David (Diane), Mark (Kristin), Paul (Mary Freund-Braun) and Greg (Kat); his grandchildren, Katherine Nicholsen, Andrew, Emma, Monica Shukle, Amanda Carlson, Nicole Popowitz, Mariah Carlson, Dustin, Robert Braun, Andrea, Kimberly, Matthew Braun, Elizabeth Harstad, Michelle Baker, Hayden Braun, Christopher Braun and Haley Gutoski; and his sister Doris Peters. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
