He is survived by: his pet Angus; his wife Cheryl; his daughters, Emily Yonke (Bret), Kelly Kuhl (Brian) and Robin Irwin; his grandchildren, Bradley, Keagan, Blake, Mikayla and Brooke; his siblings, Linda Butler (Jim) and Bruce Irwin (Esthela); and his in-laws, Cindy Erickson, Brian Smith (Debi), Bill Smith (Connie) and Claudia Gonzalez (Albert). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Animal Humane Society.
