She was predeceased by: her husband Lennie; her mother G. J. Hastings; her brother Jim; and her sister-in-law Margaret Hastings (Paquette). She is survived by: her children, Doug (Catherine), Greg (Kim), Gary (Bev) and Cory McArdle Vail; her grandchildren, Joel Dehn (Anna), Ellie Dehn, Elise Georgeson (Vince), Aaron Dehn (Jessica) and Jeff; and her great grandchildren, Arabella, Leo, Evelyn, Simone, Aksel, Johann, Lorelei, Madi, Zoey, Lillian and Brice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Minneapolis Children's Hospital (Children's Minnesota).
