He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Steinbring and Irene Steinbring; his brothers, Marvin and Harold; and his in-laws, Jack Miller, Marjorie Steinbring and Joan Steinbring.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret of Ramsey, MN; his children, Nancy Mulder (Kim) of Northwood and David (Patricia) of Anoka, MN; his grandchildren, Mitchell Mulder (Emily) of Albert Lea, MN, Melissa Strand (Cody) of Northwood, Kjestine Boyer (Jared) of Anoka, MN and Patrick Steinbring (Ashley) of Anoka, MN; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Madelyn, Tristan Strand, Brynn, Hannah, Isla Mulder, Charlotte and Jack Boyer.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Anoka, MN or The Ronald McDonald House, honoring Alvin's commitment to community and care.
