He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Geldert and Anna Geldert (Brookshaw); his wife Linda; his siblings, Eddie and Delores Jorgensen; and his stepdaughter Kelly Thomas.
He is survived by: his children, Chris (Mary Kay), Cynthia, Becky Maki (Mike), Andrew (Gail), Rosie Lusian (Rick), Tony (Brenda), Gloria Fiecke-Eckensteen (Randy) and Ashley (Ryan); his stepchildren, Melissa Mayer (Gene) and Mike Thomas (Kelly); and his sister Glady Schafer. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Minnesota Twins Community Fund.
