He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester "Tak" and Opal Thayer (Bucham); his daughter Kim Fox; and his siblings, Donald Thayer and Gwen Thayer.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Audree Munson; his daughters, Vaunnie Thayer of Minneapolis and Stacey Dieken of Fort Meyers, FL; his grandchildren, Matthew, Anthony (Hannah Fox), Anna (Zack Roth) and Jordan (Taylor Dieken); and his great grandchildren, Ryder Dieken and Sofia Dieken.
