Daniel left this world on March 16, 2025 at the age of 83, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Carlson and Bernice Carlson (Cochran); his great grandchild Kimburly Loycano; his son-in-law James Nolan; his siblings, Patricia, Gordy, Dave and Jerry Carlson; and his siblings-in-law, Lois, Sharon Carlson, Viann, Lester Fitch, Geraldine and Leroy Skow.
He is survived by: his wife Marlys Carlson of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Vicky Katka (Jerry) of Annandale, Mike Carlson (Kari) of Deer River and Pam Nolan of Annandale; his grandchildren, Lynn Seagraves (Rick), Wendy Legarrie (Ryan), Heidi Halstead (John Mark), Alyssa Tupman (Adam), Brett Carlson (Spencer) and Brian Nolan; his great grandchildren, Bree, Avery, Bryce Seagraves, Logan Legarrie, Kennedy Halstead, Rylynn, Gentry, Layton Tupman, Kinsley, Chloe Carlson and Noah Tyson; his siblings, Mary Mattson of Richvale, CA, Kathy Kittelson of Minneapolis, Bob Carlson of Annandale, Glenda Thurk (Dean) of Annandale and Laurie Carlson (Ivan Mihovilovic) of Miami, FL; and his siblings-in-law, Joy Carlson, Lester Triplett, Bonnie, Craig Picken, Laine Freiberg, Jamie, Janelle and Fred Weise. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:55 AM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (331 Harrison St W, Annandale, MN 55302). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
