He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Carter and Millie Carter (Hormel). He is survived by: his wife Sherry Nygaard; his sons, Jason Carter (Sara) and Shawn Carter (Nick); his grandchildren, Magdalen, Grant, Elsie and Kate; and his brothers, Wayne and Dale.
