He was predeceased by: his parents, Emery and Katherine; his sister Corrine Leinen; his brother-in-law Danny Johnson; his mother-in-law Laurel Mero; and his close friend Jim Olson.
He is survived by: his wife Anna; his children, Eugene Jr., Paula, Paul (Christy), Marie Lindberg (Jim), Brenda Clark (Shane), Chad (Renee Halley) and Jeffrey (Yona Vongphakdy); his grandchildren, Brittany, Felicia, Ashley, Jordan, Braden, Tyler, Carter, Alex, Grace and Carson; his brothers, Kenny, Wilfred and Walter; and his great grandchildren, Rowan and Rylan. He is also survived by other loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
