He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Olson and Virgina Olson; his wife Jeannette Olson; and his sister Cindy Nelson. He is survived by: his children, Kelly Doeden of Amery, WI and Donny Olson (Audrey) of Andover, MN; his stepson William Turkle of Mesa, AZ; and his grandchildren, Ashley Pittman, Brandon Schillinger, Tony Turkle, Cody Schillinger, Corinne Olson, Samantha Kelly, Graham Olson and Mallory Olson. He is also survived by five great grandchildren, and many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
