She was predeceased by: her husband Andrew "Andy" Nelson; her parents, Joseph Lufkins and Ellen Lufkins; her stepfather Hank Redday; her stepchildren, Kathryn Tofte and Wayne Borreson; her parents-in-law, William and Marie Nelson; and her siblings, Curtis, Joseph, Kenny Lufkins, Gladys White, Coretta Walker and Grace Redday.

She is survived by: her daughter Karla Schmidt (Corey) of Appleton; her stepdaughter Hazel Borreson of Mora; her foster children, Gila Robertson (Greg) of Appleton, Kodah Dumarce (Kathy) of Marshall and Dancer "Butch" Dumarce (Sam) of Appleton; her grandchildren, Chyanna Schmidt, Lisa Donovan (Patrick), Jon Tofte (Julie), Kristine Raymo (Josh), Tessa Dunham (Ryan), Carly Koskela, Austin Robertson, Brock Dumarce and Jayce Dumarce; her great grandchildren, Wynter, Kynzington Cox, Zane Raymo, Matthew, Brandon, Nathan and Kaitlyn Tofte; her brother John Sr. Redday (Peggy) of Sisseton, SD; and her sisters-in-law, Eula Lufkins of Ada, OK and Julia Lufkins of Sioux Falls, SD. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
