It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlene Nielsen (Alpha, Minnesota), born in Wallingford, Iowa, who passed away on March 30, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Egertson and Bella Egertson (Johnson); her husband Donald Nielsen; her siblings, Don, Vernon, Ken and Betty; and her son-in-law David Plath.
She is survived by: her children, Jeffrey, Mary Plath (Tim Donakowski) of Shoreview Minnesota, Jeff Nielsen (Brenda) of New Ulm Minnesota and Ann DeGrood (Mike) of Faribault, Minnesota.; her grandchildren, Jill Norris (Vince), Erin Plath, Andrea Sahlin (Sam), Kathryn Plath, Leah Koehne (Kai), Peter Nielsen, Rachel Kaufenberg (Travis), Kristen Dabritz (Russell) and Tim DeGrood; and her sisters, Gladys Lee (Howard) and Carolyn Whitlock (Max).
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Union State Line Lutheran Church, 72014 Petersburg Road, Jackson, Minnesota 56143.
