He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Rutten and Patricia Rutten (Neussendorfer). He is survived by: his wife Karla Dempewolf; his children, Matthew Rutten, Samantha Prophet (Ryan) and Nicole Rutten; his grandson Theodore Prophet; his mother-in-law Eyvonne Dempewolf; and his siblings, Linda Gadacz (Ron), Christy Johnson (Dennis), Jerry Rutten (Marie), Vicki Brede (Greg), Tony Rutten (Lisa), John Rutten and Laura Johnson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church (306 W Oak St, Osakis, MN 56360).
Memorials are preferred to the American Heart Association.
