He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Koep and Dorothy Koep (Klimek); his daughter Joy; and his brothers, Charles, Donald, Jr. and Dale.
He is survived by: his sons, Travis Koep of Parkers Prairie, Kevin Koep (Debi) of Alexandria and Mark Koep of Miltona; his former wife Barbara Koep of Miltona; his siblings, Duane Koep of Parkers Prairie, Robert Koep (Debbie) of Kensington, Kenny Koep (Ann) of Alexandria, Karen Arndt (Vern) of Waite Park, Dorothy O'Brien of Pelican Rapids, Lois Hansen (Peter) of Eden Prairie, Janet Koep of New Prague, Rita Heine (Roger) of Bloomington and Joyce Koep of Alexandria; his grandchildren, Cassandra Koep, Tyler Koep (Katie), Nick Koep (Tasha), Tanner Koep (Lydia), Aubrey Koep (Joe) and William Koep; and his great grandchildren, Theresa, Brendan, Gemma and Tristan. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lind Family Funeral Home (1623 10th Ave E, Alexandria, MN 56308). A prayer was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 7:00 PM and on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (60 N Central Ave, Vining, MN 56588).
