It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Paul Michael Thompson of Alexandria, Minnesota, born in Bend, Oregon, who passed away on September 30, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Morris Thompson and Helen Thompson; his siblings, Lyle and Nancy Seitz; his brother-in-law Steve Seitz; his nieces, Joy and Tina Seitz; his nephew Erik Seitz; and his parents-in-law, Samuel and Lois Norgaard.
He is survived by: his wife Joan Norgaard; his children, Mikkel Thompson (Melanie), Ingrid Bentley (Erik) and Naomi Casper (Kevin); his grandchildren, Carter, Collin, Keni, Gianna, Emme, Annika, Ian, Karina, Chase, Maryn and Maddyn; his siblings-in-law, Loren and Diane Norgaard; his niece Rachel; and his nephew David.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be given to First Lutheran Church of Alexandria or Douglas County Salvation Army.
