He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Skogen and Ardell Skogen (Lassey); his wife Linda Sowden; his son Matthew Skogen; and his nephew Chad Meyers.
He is survived by: his daughter Sara Anderson (Jeremy) of Alexandria, MN; and his grandchildren, Lauren and Madeline Anderson of Alexandria, MN.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that memorials be directed to: The Renovation of McCarthy Hall at VCSU (Linda's Library) in c/o VCSU Foundation.
