With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Martin Henry Rettig (Alexandria, Minnesota), born in Glencoe, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 12, 2024 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Rettig and Ida Rettig; his wife Lucille Rettig; his siblings, Otto, Ray Rettig and Ruth Rettig; and his granddaughters, Victoria Rettig, Cheryl Rettig and Ashleigh Rettig.
He is survived by: his children, Mark Rettig (Pam), Bruce Rettig (Jolette) and Joanne Bianco (Michael); his grandchildren, Brandon Rettig (Stacy), Nicole Remer (Michelle), Shannon Chan (Matthew), Blake Rettig, Benjamin Rettig (Rachel), Antonio Bianco (Casey), Quintin Bianco and Dijon Bianco; his great grandchildren, Eli, Kane Rettig, Piper, Aidan, Cooper, Scarlett Chan, Jack, Hudson and Bodie Rettig; and his sister-in-law Mary Klopp. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (1655 S McKay Ave, Alexandria, MN 56308). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery (5699 County Rd 13 NE, Carlos, MN 56319).
