He is survived by: his mother Isola Stamness-Smith (Nordquist) of Hoffman, Minnesota; his sister Lisa Gilbertson (Troy) of Moorhead, Minnesota; his nieces, Carly Jo and Alexis Joy; and his nephew Tanner. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
