He was predeceased by: his parents, Frans Carlstrom and Rose Carlstrom (Sacarias); and his siblings, Harriet Johnson, Dorothy Halverson, Florence Rosenow, Grace Madson, Jane Connor and Verl Carlstrom.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Foslien; and his children, Vernon Carlstrom (Terri), Douglas Carlstrom (Ellen), Brian Carlstrom (KrissAnne), Brenda Buse (Jerry), Marcia Warren (Phil) and Nancy Wendland (Steve). He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home and Crematory (659 Voyager Dr, Alexandria, MN 56308). A prayer was held on Sunday, January 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Luke's Church (201 Ida St E, Garfield, MN 56332). A burial was held on Monday, January 6th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the East Moe Lutheran Church (3531 E Moe Rd NW, Garfield, MN 56332).
