She was predeceased by: her son Baby Boy Buscemi; her husband Philip Buscemi; her mother Mary Swenson (Splittgerber); her stepfather Franklin Swenson; and her father Gordon Miller.

She is survived by: her siblings, Robert Swenson (Lori) of New Richland, Lauren Feeken of Alexandria and Diane Pantze (Jay) of Alexandria. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
