We are sad to announce that on August 28, 2024, at the age of 75, Garrett W. Visser (Alexandria, Minnesota), born in Beaumont, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerrit Visser and Jeanette Visser (Dommert); his brother-in-law Dale Asche; and his nephew Alex Asche. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Visser; his children, Julianne Monceaux-Visser of Glencoe and Jon Visser (Becca) of Cloquet; the parent of his children Jean Olerud of Goodyear, Arizona; his stepdaughters, Kristen Uecker (Shannon) of Fargo and Stephanie Slavik (Robert) of St. Louis Park; his grandchildren, Claire Monceaux, Lucas, James, Thomas, Peter, Joseph, Evelyn Visser, Madison, Leo, Taylor Uecker and Paige Slavik; his sister Janet Asche; his niece Kimberly Asche; and his nephew Andrew Asche (Sally).
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shalom Lutheran Church (681 Voyager Dr, Alexandria, MN 56308). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to Alternative Senior Care and Knute Nelson Hospice organizations as well the Parkinson's Foundation.
