He was predeceased by: his parents, Wendell Gilbertson and Myrtle Gilbertson; and his grandson Tanner Hocum. He is survived by: his wife Bonita Olson; his children, Kristi Wenner (Tom) and Scott Gilbertson (Shelley); his grandchildren, Brittney Rethlake (Michael), Cameron Gilbertson, Lily Gilbertson, Sheanne Hediger (Ryan) and Tessa Checovich (Todd); his brother Tom Gilbertson (Barb); and his siblings-in-law, Randall Olson (Rochelle) and Ginger Olson. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A memorial service will be held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Lutheran Church (605 Douglas St, Alexandria, MN 56308).
