He was predeceased by: his parents, Alex Oberg and Lillian Oberg (Gissel); and his siblings, Dorothy Metcalf, Darlene Engebretson and Dalles Oberg.
He is survived by: his children, Debra Lynn, James Darrell and Jennifer Lee; his wife Jean; his children, Debbie Fearing (Tim), Jenny Kulzer (Brian) and Jim Oberg; his grandchildren, Jeremy Fearing (Kayla), Josh Fearing (Kendra), Jesslyn Traphagen (Wade), Ryan Walsh (Kayla), Jake Kulzer, Ellee Bogatzki (Reese) and Stephanie Jaspersen (Kyle); his stepgrandchildren, Stephanie Dahlhemier (JJ), Savanna Steidl (Derek) and Jesse Stanger (Lindsey); and his sister Diana Towner. He is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren.
