He is survived by: his children, Karen Johnsen (Dale) of Minnetonka, Douglas and Steven Wolters; his grandchildren, Daniel and Sarah Johnsen; and his siblings, Margaret Swanstrom of Alexandria, Clifford Wolters of Alexandria, Catherine Triebenboch (Roger) of Osakis, Lucille Donnay of Wadena, Mary Jane Schmitz (Bill) of Alexandria and Frances Engelby (Lee) of Dundas. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
