He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Bute and Alice Bute; his sister Linda Bute; his grandson Derek; his parents-in-law, Otto and Irene Streit; and his siblings-in-law, Vern Rosenberg, Steven Streit, Shelia Chaffee and Karen Blachowske.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Streit of Alden; and his children, Mike (Jane), Scott (Lisa) of Alden, Karin (Joel Justin) of Faribault, Jeff (Kimberly) of Hutchinson, Patrick (Jolene) of Alden, Robert (Julie) of New Ulm and Kelly (Meggin) of Conger. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
